It started all August 27th 1967 at the Mosport track in Ontario. The Australian Jack Brabham won the first Canadian Grand Prix behing the weel of his Brabham Repco.

In 1968, Québec host his first Formula 1 Canadian Grand Prix at the Mont-Tremblant track.
